"I've always loved making things: jewelry, art, accessories, you name it. I was thrilled when I finally got the chance to open my online shop. It's small and new, but I have loved every second of it! I began this blog in hopes of sharing other artists and their amazing work, as well as expressing my own creations. On my blog, you'll find weekly updates of my work, including photography from my deviantart account. You'll also find work by other amazing artists, including tutorials for origami, jewelry design, and whatever else I come across. I make art because it makes me happy and I hope that whoever purchases it enjoys it just as much." ~Shelby

Product Review [Szilvia Boda]

The item I would like to review today is the very first item I ever purchased on Etsy. What you see here is a handmade, wire wrapped, ear cuff earring (the first photo). I must say, it was love at first sight. I was so attracted by the style and originality. I love the contrast between the black and the blue. When I wear the piece, it is greatly noticeable, even with it being a small ear piece. I get compliments on it all the time and am always eager to tell them where I bought it. Naturally, I was skeptical on how it would fit on me, seeing as I have a funky ear shape. Unless I happen to swipe my ear roughly, the piece never falls out. I tested it by shaking my head all around and it stayed right in place. I'm rough and have never had problems with the piece bending or breaking. I'm extremely happy with it and will definitely buy more in the future!

The Botanical Garden

"This is simply a small collection I gathered. I have a strong love for plants, so I find it really easy to find attraction in their natural beauty. These were some special finds. I hope you enjoy them, as well." ~The Wolf's Treasure

I think what really attached me to this piece was that it brought me back to my grandmother's cottage up north. It was in a beautiful temperate forest, full of trees, flowers, and life.

A collection of terrarium specimen bring me back to what of my more childish desires. I've always loved decorating, especially with live plants. They make me feel alive.

Pressed flowers give this amazing illusion of eternal life, as strange as that may sound. I've always felt these neat pieces were preserving a natural beauty, at its finest.

Seeds are very special. They're the essence of life waiting for the chance to continue growing. I find it interested how seeds manage to find their way around.

Dragon Spirit Collection

"Hey guys! I was really thrilled when I finally had completed my first set of Dragon Spirits. Some of you might know that I am also inspiring to me a writer. So, it's only natural that I tried to create a bit of a story behind these pieces. The idea is that these spiraling dragon sculptures are the spirits of dragons, waiting for the chance to be reborn. These two dragons here are some examples of my best!"

The Oceanic Spectar is another teleporting dragon species. Much as its name implies, it spends most of its time in the ocean. However, this species is also winged and capable of flight. It’s remarkably noted for having both lungs and gills. They tend to eat only vegetation, but are extremely dangerous.

They are well known for their intelligence. Many humans would recognize their deep blue scales and glowing, bright blue eyes. However, being only the size of an average horse, larger dragons like to prey on them. Typically, they’ll next deep beneath the ocean, where their babies will hatch and rise to the surface by themselves in a year.

The Treavern Forest Dweller is a fearsome dragon that spends most of its life on tree tops. It’s a small dragon, being the size of an average drake. However, this small beast breathes fire, flies at incredible speeds, and is known to be hazardous to humans. Unlike most dragons, this creature does not have scales but a fleshy hide.

It’s massive wings tuck underneath its body. Many travelers have stories of being attacked by herds of Treavern Forest Dwellers. Sometimes, they are mistaken for bats by those who are not familiar with them. These dragons are not capable of being domesticated and prove to be quite difficult to handle. Their eggs are the size of bird eggs, but they become a full sized adult in only a year.

This piece was something new for me. This design was made entirely out of wire wrapping, something I made all by myself with no base. I like the way it came out, especially being my first copper, wire wrapped anklet.

My Favorite Color is Blue

This list of items a special feature based off one of my favorite colors. I don't really have a specific number one favorite, so I won't say that it is my absolute, but it is definitely high up there. I wanted to make sure I did a variety of items and didn't feature multiples of the same time. I also was hoping to be just a bit nautical. I hope you enjoy!

Right... so this is just a little bit of blue, but I couldn't help myself! I found this bag to be just way to cute. I might want one in the future... I'll have to try and resist temptation.

Not sure if this piece even requires much description. I found this picture to be absolutely stunning. Funny thing is, my school colors were blue and gold. Although, we never looked nearly this stunning.

Absolutely breathtakingly stunning... I had purchased some of these beautiful eyeshadows from her a little while ago. This was one of the colors I had purchased. It's one of my favorites!

I've never been one to use soap, simply due to my delicate skin. However, I loved the way she styled her soaps. The colors are amazing and I loved the dolphins. A lot of it brought me back to my childhood of collecting dolphin sculptures.

I love plants, especially unique ones. This plant caught my eye because of its amazing shape and especially its color! I love that shade of blue. It's so natural.

I don't ever wear scarves, mostly because of the horrible heat out here. However, I found this piece to be gorgeous! I love the patterns and the colors.

Now this is really something to gawk at. This amazing sculpture is made using beautiful gemstones! I imagine it would be a beautiful piece to display in a workplace. It would make the atmosphere lovely.

I usually don't wear fancy clothing. Part of it has to do with me being cheap, but I would say a large portion comes from the fact I have no where to wear it to. I love this shirt! It's so pretty.

Too bad I have ugly hands. This ring was so beautiful! When I found it, I was in awe at its amazing luster. I teased my fiancé, telling him to propose to me with this.

The final piece I want to share is a beautiful hair stick. I wish I had enough nerve to buy things for myself; I've been gawking at her work from afar for so long. It blows me away!

Travel Network • Before I Die • Venice

The travel network is simply a series of blog posts dedicated to places in this world I want to visit before my life expires. For this blog post, I want to specifically talk about the city of Venice, located in Italy.

Obviously, I have never been to Venice. I've never even been near Italy. I don't know much about Italian life, other than what I've learn from studies in school. For me, visiting Venice is all about the location. I'm blown away by the streets of water. It amazes me. A lot of it comes from where I grew up. I grew up in a dust ball where rain was a rarity. Living in a city with streets of water sounds delightful.

When visiting, the first thing I want to do is right on one of the gondolas. I don't expect it to be the way it is in old movies; y'know? Where a couple rides on the gondolas, staring lovingly into each other's eyes while the driver sings Italian songs to them. I just want to be able to ride along the shores of Venice with my mouth wide open.

Now, I want to take a moment to share some work on Etsy from people who live in Venice, Italy. Even if their work isn't entirely based off Venice history. I think it is very appropriate to show work of the locals.

The first item I want to share is a pair of glass earrings. I absolutely love working with glass. It always manages to shine so beautifully! I found these earrings to be so cute and with a beautiful color.

This piece is a crocheted, barefoot sandal. They are really fun and beautiful pieces! They sit delicately atop your foot and can give a creative shine to any pair of shoes.

This next piece is a beautiful hat. I usually don't wear hats, so I don't have much to compare. However, I found this piece to be very unique and styled beautifully.

I found this piece to be very interesting. It is a golden masquerade mask. It definitely isn't something I'm used to seeing. I thought it was very unique!
